Bacillus subtilis

APPLICATIONS OF BACILLUS SUBTILIS IN ANIMAL HUSBANDRY:

1. Maintaining Intestinal Health:

After entering the digestive tract of livestock and poultry, Bacillus subtilis can quickly revive from a dormant state, consume oxygen in the intestine, and thus reduce the concentration of oxygen molecules. This process helps to reduce the number of harmful bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella, increase the number of beneficial microorganisms, and reduce the occurrence of diseases. In addition, Bacillus subtilis can produce inhibitory substances such as hydrogen peroxide and bacteriocins, which inhibit the growth of intestinal spoilage bacteria, reduce urease activity, and decrease the production of harmful substances such as ammonia and amines, which is beneficial for the healthy growth of animals.

2. Improving Feed Conversion Rate:

Bacillus subtilis has strong protease, amylase, and lipase activities, which can degrade complex carbohydrates such as cellulose, pectin, and pectin in plant feed, thereby improving feed conversion rate. In addition, Bacillus subtilis can also affect rumen fermentation, pushing the fermentation type of the rumen towards propionic acid type, improving fiber degradation and feed utilization efficiency.

3. Enhancing Immunity:

Bacillus subtilis can stimulate the growth and development of immune organs in livestock and poultry, activate T and B lymphocytes, increase immunoglobulin and antibody levels, and enhance cellular and humoral immune functions. Bacillus subtilis can also synthesize vitamin B1, B2, B6, Niacin and other B vitamins which can strengthen the body's immune system.
