Research and Application of Enzyme Preparations in Poultry Production (part 2)
Application of Feed Enzyme Preparations in Poultry
2.1 Improving production performance
Feed Enzyme Preparations can increase the utilization rate of feed by poultry and effectively improve the growth performance of poultry. It has been studied and discovered that adding low-temperature amylase to broiler diets can increase the net weight gain and survival rate of broilers and reduce the feed-to-meat ratio. Adding protease to the basic diet of broilers can increase the daily feed intake and the apparent digestibility of protein and amino acids of broilers. Research shows that adding 100 g/t of Feed Enzyme Preparations such as protease can significantly reduce the feed-to-egg ratio of laying hens and increase the egg production rate. It is further found that by adding 200 and 300 mg/kg of Feed Enzyme Preparations such as lipase to the diet of 22-42-day-old yellow-feathered roosters can improve the growth performance of roosters and reduce the feed-to-weight ratio. Adding xylanase to the basic diet of broilers can also effectively reduce the relative viscosity of the intestines of broilers infected with pathogenic bacteria and increase the weight of broilers.
2.2 Improve the utilization of nutrients and energy
Some of the difficult-to-degrade fibers in the basic diet can affect the utilization of feed, while the addition of phytase can improve the utilization of phosphorus in the feed. Adding Feed Enzyme Preparations such as a phytase product to a low non-phytate phosphorus level diet can reduce the use of phosphorus mineral feed in broiler feed and reduce the inhibitory effect of insufficient non-phytate phosphorus levels on the growth of broiler ducks. Feed Enzyme Preparations can improve broilers' utilization of corn nutrients and energy. The addition of digestive enzymes to a corn-based basic diet, the apparent metabolizable energy, true metabolizable energy, true metabolizable energy of nitrogen and apparent digestibility of dry matter of broilers were significantly improved. A research was done to show that adding complex Feed Enzyme Preparations to a diet containing palm kernel meal can improve the utilization of feed by broilers and improve the production performance of broilers. Through trial and data, it can be demonstrated that the combination of bile acid and lipase can significantly improve the apparent utilization of crude fat and energy and improve the carcass quality of broiler ducks.
Feed Enzyme Preparations play an important role in poultry production. They can increase the utilization rate of feed by poultry and improve the intestinal health which thereby elevates the growth performance of poultry. It is important to take focus on feed enzymes for the poultry and livestock industries to continue to have sustainable growth in the future generations.
