How to Activate Bacillus subtilis
Bacillus subtilis can be activated through the following methods:
Brown sugar water activation: Dissolve an appropriate amount of brown sugar in hot water, let it cool to around 30-40 degrees, then add Bacillus subtilis, stir evenly, and let it sit for 1-4 hours.
Rice bran or bran activation: Wet the rice bran or bran with water, then add Bacillus subtilis, stir evenly, and place it in a warm place. It takes about half a day to activate it.
Nutrient broth activation: Using nutrient broth as the activation medium, add Bacillus subtilis to the nutrient broth, stir evenly, and let it sit for a period of time.
Activation of yeast extract solution: Add Bacillus subtilis to the yeast extract solution, stir evenly, and let it sit for a period of time.
PRECAUTIONS AND PARAMETERS
Temperature control: During the activation process, it is necessary to control the temperature well, usually around 30 degrees Celsius, which is more suitable. If the temperature is too high or too low, it will affect the activation.
Stirring evenly: Stir evenly to ensure that Bacillus subtilis fully contacts the activation medium.
Using as soon as possible once activation is complete: Activated Bacillus subtilis should be used as soon as possible, otherwise its activity will decrease.
Environmental hygiene: During the activation process, environmental hygiene should be maintained to avoid contamination by miscellaneous bacteria.
