Bacillus subtilis: Usage Methods and Dosage Recommendations in Agriculture
The Common usage methods and dosage recommendations of Bacillus subtilis in agricultural applications:
Mixing with soil or fertilizer:
During seedling cultivation, 2-5 grams of Bacillus subtilis preparation can be mixed with soil and sprinkled per square meter of seedbed. When spreading, the dosage should be 200-400 grams per acre, which can be mixed with fine soil, farmyard manure, chemical fertilizers, etc. and then applied.
After application, the soil needs to be plowed. Be careful to avoid mixing with unripe farmyard manure to prevent secondary fermentation and high temperature from killing Bacillus subtilis.
Seed mixing:
Before sowing, mix the seeds with an appropriate amount of Bacillus subtilis preparation. Generally, the dosage of seeds per acre is 50-200 grams. If the seed quantity exceeds 10 kilograms, the dosage of the inoculant should be doubled (not for tubers or roots). After seed mixing, a protective layer can be formed on the outside of the seeds to prevent soil borne diseases.
Spraying:
At the early stage of disease occurrence, dilute the Bacillus subtilis preparation with water by 200-500 times and spray evenly on the leaves and roots. Spray once every 5-7 days, 2-3 times in a row.
Root irrigation method:
After transplanting crops, diluting Bacillus subtilis preparations 500-1000 times and irrigating roots can help promote root growth and prevent root diseases.
Drip irrigation or flushing method:
Add Bacillus subtilis preparation to nutrient solution for drip irrigation or flushing with water. Drip or flush irrigation 2-3 times throughout the entire reproductive cycle. The usual usage per acre of land is 200-400 grams.
