Bacillus subtilis: Usage Methods and Dosage Recommendations in Agriculture Part 2
Suggested Bacillus subtilis dosage adjustments for agricultural applications.
Adjust according to crop type:
The usual usage per acre for field crops is 1000 grams.
The usage of economic crops per mu is 1000-3000 grams.
The dosage for each fruit tree is 20-50 grams.
Adjust according to environmental conditions:
Bacillus subtilis can grow and reproduce normally within the soil temperature range of 10-40 ℃, with the most suitable temperature being 25-37 ℃. The most suitable soil moisture level is around 60%. Therefore, caution should be exercised when using Bacillus subtilis in cold winter or excessively dry environments, and the dosage should be appropriately reduced.
Precautions.
Avoid mixing with chemicals: Bacillus subtilis is recommended to be used alone and avoid mixing with fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, and other chemicals to reduce its activity.
Avoid strong light: Bacillus subtilis is sensitive to ultraviolet rays in sunlight and can be easily killed. Therefore, do not use it during the midday when it is exposed to sunlight, and do not directly spread it on the ground.
Early use: After Bacillus subtilis is applied to the soil, there is a process of bacterial growth and expansion. Therefore, it should be used before the onset of disease or before the growth of crop roots to achieve the goal of controlling the disease.
